The following conditions clarify payment and licensing terms for institutional customers.
Domestic institutions (Serbia)
- Payment is made in the RSD equivalent at the National Bank of Serbia middle exchange rate on the invoice date.
- Electronic invoices can be sent through the Serbian e-Invoice System (SEF).
- Payment through the Treasury Administration is supported for direct and indirect budget beneficiaries.
Definition: “Fair-use unlimited up to 300 instances”
One instance means one active proceedings volume or conference series (a Journal/Proceedings path inside an OJS installation). The up-to-300 package applies to proceedings within one institution or domain, such as all faculties of one university on a shared server.
License continuity
- Perpetual license (Model A): if maintenance is not paid in Year 2, the plugin continues to work normally, but access to new updates and technical support ends. Maintenance can be restored after an interruption through retroactive payment.
- Annual license (Model B): when the annual period expires, the license is no longer active and the system is locked for new editing until the subscription is renewed.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an annual subscription and a perpetual license?
An annual subscription provides access to the software, updates, and support while it is active. A perpetual license is a one-time purchase: you keep using the purchased version permanently, while future updates and support are optional after the first year.
What happens if we do not renew maintenance after the first year?
The software continues to work normally on your server because your license is perpetual. You only lose access to new releases, compatibility updates for newer OJS versions, and priority technical support.
How does a license for multiple publications work?
Licenses are assigned according to the selected package and its number of journals or proceedings. With the Faculty Standard package, for example, you can activate the license for up to 10 different publications within your OJS platform.
Do your plugins modify the OJS core?
No. Our modules are built as isolated plugins following PKP standards. You can update your OJS installation without worrying that the core has been altered by our solutions.
